Delivering for clients
Sell a plan that includes a workspace
Sell a monthly or yearly plan on your own Stripe. Paying gives each buyer a workspace of their own under your agency and your brand.
What happens
You put a plan on a funnel page. A buyer pays on your Stripe checkout. Paying creates a workspace of their own under your agency, with the seats, clients and credits you set. The buyer gets a sign-in email from your sending domain (once you have turned on sending from your domain, see Send email from your own domain) and signs in on your app domain, under your brand. Stripe bills the plan every month or every year; you are the merchant of record.
Before you start
- Connect Stripe. Open Agency → Plans & billing and press Connect Stripe. Products, prices and Payment Links then live on your own Stripe.
- A funnel for the plan. The page buyers land on. See Building a lead generating asset.
- Optional, and recommended: your own app domain and sending domain, so the buyer’s sign-in email and sign-in page carry your name.
Set up the plan
- Open the funnel and its Launch panel, then Payments.
- Press + Add product. Fill in the Product name, Price and Currency.
- Turn on This product is a recurring plan that gives the buyer their own workspace.
- Choose Monthly or Yearly, then set Credits per month, Seats, Clients, Markup %, Grace days and, if you want one, Trial days. You can also name a template to start each new workspace from, and an automatic top-up pack.
- Save the product.
Checkouts run on your Stripe test key until you turn on Charge live: no money moves in test mode. Going live needs a live Stripe key.
You can also ask the assistant in plain words, for example “set up a monthly plan for $97 with 5 seats and put it on my funnel”. Publishing the page waits for your approval.
What the buyer gets
- Checkout on your Stripe, for the price you set.
- An email from your sending domain (or from the platform address, signed with your name, until you turn on sending from your domain): “Your … workspace is ready”, with the email address they sign in with and a temporary password to change after their first sign-in.
- Their own workspace on your app domain. Its assistant greets them by your product’s name.
Where you see it
- Agency → Sub-accounts lists the buyer’s workspace like any other sub-account, with its wallet.
- Agency → Plans & billing shows, for the last 30 days, what you earned from plans and packs, your MRR, active, new and churned plans, and for each sub-account its revenue, platform cost, margin and wallet.
