Send email from your own domain

What changes

Every email Cook sends for your workspace — team invitations, client portal invites, onboarding credentials, digests — goes out from your sender, for example [email protected], with your name on it. Replies come back to your inbox in Cook and land on the right lead’s conversation.

Add a sending domain

1. Open Emails (Manage → Emails).
2. Under Sending domain, type your domain. A subdomain such as mg.yourbrand.com is suggested: it keeps your regular email untouched.
3. Add the records shown at your DNS provider, then press Verify domain. New records can take a few minutes.
4. Set the sender: the name people see, the address on your domain, and an optional Reply-to. Press Save sender.
5. Turn on inbound mail. This adds two MX records so replies to your emails land in this inbox and on the lead’s conversation. Off, with no reply-to set, a reply to any email you send bounces.

Check it

Invite a teammate or resend a client’s portal invite. The mail arrives from your sender, and the link inside it points to your domain when you have connected one.

The setup list in Settings → General → White-label shows “Email sent from your own domain” and “Replies routed back to you” once both are done.
